Our Story – Milestones on Our Journey
Here’s a timeline of important moments in the history of North-Industries, from our early days with TeamSpeak 2 to the rebranding that defines us today.
The Birth of Our Community
Playing games with friends became difficult without proper communication. Hosted our first TeamSpeak 2 server from a personal PC. Used DynDNS to manage the dynamic IP and created the original domain, klabausterbeere.dyndns-sec.com.
The Community Reawakens
After a brief hiatus, the need for gaming and communication returned, and we switched to TeamSpeak 3. Hosted the new server via No-IP with the new domain klabausterbeere.no-ip.biz. Our community started growing again, attracting new members and reconnecting with old friends.
Expanding Our Reach
Registered the custom domain klabausterbeere.xyz, which remains active today. Introduced the first music bots and automated TeamSpeak tools. Continued growth led to hosting on a friend's VPS, solving earlier connectivity issues.
Independence and Innovation
Rented a Root Server at Netcup to host our own TeamSpeak server with full control. Introduced a ranking system to track users' online time, which is still active today. Enhanced functionality with advanced bots, making the server more dynamic and engaging.
A Setback and a Fresh Start
Due to unforeseen events, our server temporarily shut down, and many members drifted away, some switching to Discord. After returning, we decided to rebrand as North-Industries, inspired by our success in the game Dual Universe. Launched a new community identity, complete with a website, Facebook page, and forum.
A New Vision for Gamers
Now hosted on a production server with 99.9% uptime, DDoS protection, and regular backups. Our vision is to provide gamers with free, secure communication tools that prioritize privacy and freedom. We offer screen sharing, meetings, and soon live streaming, giving gamers powerful features without invasive data collection. With more services in the works, North-Industries aims to be the trusted communication platform for gamers.
